Florida’s very own heavy hitters, Bodysnatcher, have just released their latest EP, Vile Conduct, along with a brand-new video for the track “Say Goodbye.” The EP, out now via MNRK Heavy, showcases the band’s signature blend of crushing breakdowns, eerie atmosphere, and raw intensity. Over the past few months, the band has teased fans with tracks like “Murder8” featuring Jamey Jasta, “Severed,” “Human Disdain,” and “Infested”—racking up impressive numbers: 1.7 million streams on Spotify and over half a million YouTube views.
The band’s new release tackles dark themes of personal struggle, loss, and hatred, with the members emphasizing how crucial it is to confront these issues both for the listener and themselves. As they put it, “Vile Conduct is a culmination of all the different struggles people can face or inflict on others. These are very human experiences, and it’s important to bring them to the surface so we can try to heal the best way we know how.”

With this EP, Bodysnatcher proves once again why they’re a force to be reckoned with in the heavy music scene. The band is known for their intense live performances, and fans won’t want to miss them on the upcoming The Nothing That Is US Tour. They’ll be hitting the road this fall alongside Fit For An Autopsy, Distant, Sylosis, and Judiciary, starting on October 18th in Worcester, MA.
Bodysnatcher’s Journey
Formed in 2014 in Melbourne, Florida, Bodysnatcher has been delivering punishing, extreme music since their inception. Their name, drawn from the notorious Ed Gein, hints at the level of brutality the band brings to their sound. Over the years, the group has evolved, blending heavy riffs, eerie ambiance, and monstrous breakdowns to craft a sound that is both aggressive and deeply emotional.
Their early EP, Abandonment, released just months after they formed, made waves in the American downtempo scene and put the band on the map. Their debut full-length, Death of Me (2017), marked a turning point, with the band expanding their sound beyond downtempo into something more diverse and devastating. A lineup change in 2018 brought in Chris Whited (percussionist/producer), Kyle Carter (guitar), and Kyle Shope (bass), solidifying the group and setting the stage for their subsequent albums This Heavy Void (2020) and Bleed-Abide (2022).
These albums not only expanded the band’s musical range but also established them as a rising force in heavy music. Their deeply personal lyrics, combined with crushing instrumentation, struck a chord with fans. Songs like “Twelve/Seventeen” from This Heavy Void and “Smashed Perception” from Bleed-Abide showcase their ability to mix blistering aggression with emotional depth.
A Relentless Touring Machine
Since Bleed-Abide, Bodysnatcher has been relentless, touring across the U.S. and overseas with acts like AngelMaker, Hatebreed, Dying Fetus, and We Came as Romans. Their live shows are infamous for their intensity, with mosh pits erupting into chaos as they deliver bone-crushing performances. This year, they’re continuing the grind with two major tours—one in the U.S. and one in Europe—with former label mates SPITE.
