Known for their outspoken political stance, Debt Neglector dives into more personal themes this time, examining the fears and pressures of fatherhood. The band’s signature fast-paced punk rock sound accompanies these introspective lyrics.
In the band’s words, “This song is about the fear and insecurities I have after becoming a father. I’m so scared of passing on my anxiety and depression to my son. I’m trying so hard to be a good dad and want him to have an easier time than I did growing up. But are some of my issues hereditary? Is it completely unavoidable? Was I selfish for having a kid at all? I worry about these things literally all the time.”
