KLAUS SCHULZE LIVE ALBUM BON VOYAGE (LIVE AUDIMAX HAMBURG 1981) TO BE RELEASED ON APRIL 25 VIA SPV RECORDINGS
For more than half a century, Klaus Schulze, the composer, musician, and producer, has been crafting expansive sounds and legendary sequences. As a pivotal figure in the “Berlin School” of electronic music, he has significantly influenced a wide array of electronic genres. Following the release of his recent album, 101, MILKY WAY, in November 2024, Bon Voyage (Live Hamburg Audimax 1981) will be released on April 25 through SPV Recordings. This work represents yet another historic piece from the archives of the master of the Moog synthesizer.

In November 1981, Klaus Schulze embarked on a two-week tour across Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and France, with the tour culminating at the Audimax in Hamburg. Klaus was joined by multi-instrumentalist Manuel Göttsching as a special guest. Initially intended as a spontaneous and internal documentation—a cherished keepsake for those on tour—the recording of the Hamburg Audimax concert will now be shared with fans, allowing them to partake in cherished memories over 40 years later.
With this in mind, we wish you—certainly also on behalf of Klaus and Manuel—a safe journey. Bon Voyage!

– Video — Live Audimax Hamburg 1981

“Klaus Schulze’s music has never been as relevant as it is now. The world has finally caught up with a true pioneer. More than ever is Klaus’ work the perfect balance between the soul and technology. Electrons as messengers of romance. Acute and profound understanding of electronics as conduits of all things human. A master, an influence and influencer on countless others, still connecting us all with a deep sense of humanity and mystery.” —Hans Zimmer, December 2021
