Polish death metal band WINGLESS has released a drum playthrough video for their track “Majesty,” a standout from their fifth album, Ascension. The album, out now on Selfmadegod Records, was recorded at Studio67 with production by Grzegorz Luzar and mixed and mastered by Dominik Burzym.
“Majesty” was the first single from Ascension and showcases WINGLESS’ blend of heavy, classic death metal with a touch of doom. The track’s mix of blast beats and Norwegian-inspired melodies brings an intense, electrifying sound straight from the golden age of the genre.
The new video features drummer Piotr Wójcik delivering a powerful performance to an instrumental version of “Majesty.” Wójcik explains, “I aim to blend groove with complex rhythms. ‘Majesty’ is a great example of that balance. As soon as I heard the raw guitar tracks, the arrangement came together in my head. Adding blast beats gave it the punch it needed. I’m very proud of how it turned out, and I invite everyone to check it out.”

WINGLESS, based in Krakow, was formed in 2012 by experienced musicians from the local metal scene. Led by guitarist/bassist Grzegorz Luzar, the band’s lineup has evolved over the years, with drummer Piotr Wójcik joining in 2018 and vocalist Michał “Xaay” Loranc coming on board in 2021. The band’s sound has shifted over time from modern metal to a more classic death and doom metal style, which is on full display in Ascension.
