Punk Supergroup KING THIEF Drops Explosive Debut Album

King Thief, the punk rock powerhouse from Edmonton, is set to release their self-titled debut LP. Formed in 2019, the band quickly gained recognition for their high-energy live shows and intense, gritty sound. With members hailing from Teenage Bottlerocket, This Is A Standoff, Choke, and The Fullblast, King Thief blends modern punk with the melodic grit of post-hardcore and the anthemic spirit of 70s rock.

The band’s single “No Allies,” a preview from the upcoming album, shows off their signature mix of sharp riffs, powerful rhythms, and socially charged lyrics. Frontman Eric Nielson delivers raw, gravelly vocals over the tight rhythm section of Darren Chewka on drums and Nick Kouremenos on bass. Guitarists Shawn Moncrieff and Ryan Podlubny weave complex melodies and adventurous riffs, creating a sound that is both innovative and true to punk roots.

Expect King Thief’s debut to be a hard-hitting statement of punk rock rebellion, full of energy and focused intensity. Get ready for a relentless, engaging listening experience!
