French metalcore band Resolve is back with their haunting new single, “Sandman,” the latest track from their forthcoming Human (Extended Cut) album, set to release on October 25, 2024, via Arising Empire. Following their explosive single “Molotov,” which kicked off this extended album cycle, “Sandman” dives deep into a nightmarish soundscape, blending crushing heaviness with the band’s signature emotional pull.
The track opens with an ominous, oppressive intro that mirrors its unsettling inspiration. Bassist Robin Mariat revealed that “Sandman” was born from a terrifying experience of sleep paralysis that frontman Anthony Diliberto endured. “Imagine waking up in the dead of night with a terrifying figure looking over you, and being unable to move or ask for help,” Robin explained. This dark and eerie encounter directly influenced the song’s nightmarish vibe. However, the song’s powerful choruses offer a sense of hope and resilience, with soaring melodies that remind listeners that even in their darkest moments, there is always a way to rise again.
With Human (Extended Cut), Resolve continues to push the boundaries of metalcore, adding layers of atmosphere and emotion to their heavy sound. The new single, “Sandman,” showcases the band’s ability to blend haunting, cinematic elements with anthemic choruses, making them one of the most innovative acts in the modern metal scene. As Resolve gears up for the album’s release, fans can expect even more earth-shaking music from the French quartet.

Don’t miss Human (Extended Cut) when it drops on October 25, and prepare for a musical journey that dives deep into the human experience, from the darkest depths to the light of redemption.
