Rosaline’s ‘Zhuzh’ Album Release Show Lights Up Nice Guys Pizza on Saturday September 7th

Cape Coral’s music scene was set ablaze on Saturday September 7th as Rosaline celebrated the release of their latest EP, Zhuzh, at Nice Guys Pizza. The night featured stellar performances from local legends Gator Nate and Moonstone Riders, making it an unforgettable event for fans of authentic, high-energy music.

Gator Nate: The Swamp Legend Returns

Gator Nate took to the stage and proceeded to give us one great show backed up by Caleb Neff on guitar, Kellyn Karr on drums, Rick Setser on bass and Jon Meek on the organ.

After nearly a decade without new studio releases, Gator Nate is back and stronger than ever. Despite facing years of personal hardships and natural disasters, this “staple of the swamp” has reignited his creative spark. Like Florida’s waterways that never run dry, Gator Nate’s well of inspiration is overflowing. His latest album, Tailgating for Tomorrow, released under Swamp Song Records, marks a fresh chapter for the legendary musician.

Moonstone Riders: Psychedelic Funk Meets Classic Rock

Moonstone Riders, the Naples-based trio, delivered an electrifying set, blending psychedelic funk with classic rock and country vibes. Led by Matt Benfield on guitar and vocals, along with Marcia Winslow with those sweet vocals, Jeffrey James holding down the low end on the bass and Jaheem Washington rockin’ that drum kit, their performance had the audience on their feet, moving to their unique sound.

Known for their improvisational jams and distinctive covers, Moonstone Riders kept the energy high throughout the night. Their fusion of jam-band grooves, funky rhythms, and rock anthems captivated the audience. With every song, the band showcased their ability to blend past and future influences, proving why they’re one of the most exciting live acts in the local scene.

Rosaline: Caleb Neff’s Bold Sound Takes Center Stage

The night wrapped up with Rosaline, led by Cape Coral’s own Caleb Neff, who hit the stage to celebrate the release of their new EP, Zhuzh. Known for blending southern rock influences with sharp, thought-provoking lyrics, Neff once again showed his range as an artist.

The crowd was all in for the songs from Zhuzh, which had just dropped the day before. Recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville and mixed by Grammy-winner Chris Shaw, the EP marks a shift toward a more rock-focused sound. Tracks like “Already Dead” and “You’re So Cool” brought high energy, while “Hand to God” slowed things down, giving the audience a chance to reflect.

Rosaline’s set highlighted Neff’s passion for mixing southern rock with Americana, pulling inspiration from legends like Tom Petty and the Black Crowes. His storytelling hit home, especially with the themes of honesty and going against the grain that run through Zhuzh. As the night came to an end, Rosaline left the crowd captivated with a performance full of heart.

With the support of Gator Nate and Moonstone Riders, Rosaline’s Zhuzh album release show was a night to remember. Fans left Nice Guys Pizza with a renewed appreciation for the depth and talent of Florida’s local music scene.
