Ryan Woods, signed to Fearless Records, has just released his latest single, “Good Swim.” Accompanying the release is a captivating lyric video that you can watch HERE.
Woods reveals that the inspiration for “Good Swim” came from a family member’s wedding. “I actually wrote ‘Good Swim’ for a family member’s wedding,” he explains. “It started off as a poem, and though I had never experienced love enough to get married, it was inspired by an idyllic version of it. I asked myself, ‘If I were so in love with somebody that I would marry them, what would that feel like?’ I think it would feel like a ‘good swim’ on a hot summer day. Refreshing, relaxing, and rejuvenating. Like a vacation from life itself. A safe place to unwind and not think about the world, and simply rejoice in the love that we have for each other. A place where fear has little power, and the courage to dive into it is celebrated and rewarded.”
He concludes, “Love is complex and far from easy, but so is swimming. It gets easier the more you do it. You grow stronger and faster, and once you learn how to swim, it’s very difficult to drown.”

The track is poised to be your feel-good anthem this summer, beginning with a dreamy piano melody that sets an uplifting tone. As the song progresses, it transitions into a mid-tempo pop jam that exudes a warm, bedroom-like vibe. Woods brings a blend of nostalgic ’70s melodies and a sweetly melodic voice that are sure to lift your spirits.
Woods previously released the single “Full Speed Ahead” and is excited to announce a show at The Echo in Los Angeles on July 30, where he will share the stage with Jack Newsome. This performance has been rescheduled from earlier this month. Get your tickets HERE.
