Exciting news from the UK band Acres! They are set to drop their latest album, “The Host”, on May 2 through Solid State Records. You can place your pre-order now.

Fans can also check out the brand-new video for “Bloodlust,” the first single from the album. This video is a hauntingly beautiful blend of eerie and religious imagery, paired with the track’s mix of synth melodies, chilling riffs, and powerful percussion.

As lead singer Ben Lumber shares, “The Host represents a bold step in a new direction for us as a band, we’ve always pushed ourselves to evolve with every album and never write the same record twice,” highlighting how working with producer Landon Tewers has infused new life into their sound.

He also elaborates on “Bloodlust,” stating it “is a track about a toxic relationship between you and addiction, we call The Host. It’s about giving in and giving up to it. You know it’s bad for you, but you can’t live without it. It’s the perfect way to start the record, a first peek into the downward spiral of letting the host in and letting it consume you.”

Acres gained prominence with their 2019 debut, “Lonely World”, and their 2023 follow-up, “Burning Throne”, further solidified their status with hits like “My Everything” and “Hold On.” The band recorded “The Host” in Michigan, taking advantage of autumnal vibes and the input of producer Landon Tewers.

The album’s track list includes:

1. “Bloodlust”

2. “Not So Different”

3. “Staring At The Sun”

4. “Built To Bleed”

5. “Your Goodbye”

6. “Steal The Light”

7. “Around Again”
