Danish death metal band LIFESICK has kicked off the year with a bang, releasing a new video for their track “Peace Through Superior Firepower” from their acclaimed album Loved By None, Hated By All. This full-length, released last fall on Metal Blade Records, showcases LIFESICK’s raw and powerful sound, characterized by brutal honesty in their lyrics inspired by life’s volatile nature. The band’s sound draws heavily from Swedish death metal, combining crushing tones with modern breakdowns for a unique, uncompromising musical experience.
Discussing the track “Peace Through Superior Firepower,” LIFESICK states, “The idea of trying to spread peace around the world with bombs and guns is one of the most bizarre aspects of the human race. Some of us are raised with love, and a subtle hint of hate for others. This song features heavy and catchy guitar riffs, with plenty of sing-along vocal parts. The track includes layers of samples and pitched-down guitar, giving the breakdown a distinct feel compared to the rest of the songs on the album. ‘Only the dead see the end of war—a haunting anthem of vengeance.’”
Fans can watch the “Peace Through Superior Firepower” video, as well as previous videos for “Loved By None,” “Legacy Of Misery,” and “Hollow Treats.” Plus, they can preview and purchase the album at Metal Blade Records’ website.
Formed in Fredericia, Denmark in 2015, LIFESICK has continually evolved, with each release growing in intensity and depth. Their previous EP, Life And Other Lies, marked a significant turning point, leading them to Metal Blade Records, where they’ve honed their craft with Loved By None, Hated By All. The latest album was recorded at Jacob Bredahl’s Dead Rat facility, with Bredahl playing an expanded role in shaping the new material. “He came down to our rehearsal room where we played all the songs for him live, so he could add his touch to each song or edit stuff that we might have been a little blind to from playing the songs too much. This was the first time we did this, and it was very effective,” the band shared.
To give the album a fresh touch, mixing was handled by Taylor Young at The Pit, with the noise collective John Cxnnor providing industrial sound design and samples throughout, enhancing the thematic unity of the album. These efforts culminate in a powerful sound that captures LIFESICK’s fierce energy and uncompromising spirit.

New Noise describes it as “…obscenely pissed, in every possible way… LIFESICK employs a big, brash middle finger to an inhospitable world.” Rock Hard Germany highlights the album’s hearty production, saying it stays true to its mix of Swedish death and D-beat hardcore. Sweden Rock Mag applauds its life-affirming nihilism, while Metalized regards it as the best hardcore from Denmark, calling it a must-listen for fans. Out Of Rage describes it as “…a spittle-flecked call to arms that shouldn’t be ignored by anyone who enjoys their music paired with spin kicks and stage diving.”
For those who appreciate intense and honest music, LIFESICK’s latest offerings promise an electrifying sonic experience that’s truly unmissable.
