French metalcore band Resolve is making waves once again with the announcement of Human (Extended Cut), a deluxe edition of their critically acclaimed 2023 album Human. Set for release on October 25 via Arising Empire, the extended version promises new tracks, including a live performance titled The Fire, The Aftermath, The Everlasting.
To celebrate this news, the band has dropped a fierce new single, “Molotov,” along with a music video. This track marks Resolve’s first new music since Human, blending heavy aggression with metallic atmospheres while diving into the themes of Artificial Intelligence. Vocalist Anthony Diliberto describes “Molotov” as “relentless and aggressive,” calling it an epilogue to the album’s title track. “It’s about a new hope for humanity when a robot starts behaving like a real person. It begs the question: Does standing out make you a leader or an outcast?”
Bassist Robin Mariat is excited about the deluxe release, saying, “This extended version allows us to build on the world we created with Human. These new tracks continue that story, offering something for fans of both our heavier side and our more melodic sound.”
Resolve’s reputation as a rising force in metalcore has only grown since their debut in 2017. With their debut album Between Me and the Machine gaining attention from major outlets like Kerrang! and Metal Hammer, the band has built a loyal fanbase and millions of streams worldwide.
The band will soon embark on a busy tour schedule, starting with a headlining Human tour across France in September, followed by support slots for UK metal giants While She Sleeps on their UK and European tours. Resolve will also join Currents for two exclusive shows in Ireland later this year.
