Exciting news for nu-metal enthusiasts! Grammy-nominated Spineshank is making a comeback in 2025 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic 2000 release, “The Height of Callousness”. The band is reuniting with a refreshed lineup comprised of original members, including Jonny Santos on vocals, Tommy Decker on drums, and Rob Garcia on bass. Joining them are guitarists Tommy Decker, Jr. and Jason Hager, who bring new energy to the lineup.
Fans can look forward to seeing Spineshank live at major festivals such as Louder Than Life, Inkcarceration, and Aftershock. In addition, they will embark on a co-headlining tour with The Union Underground called “An Education in Callousness,” where they will play their 2000 releases in full. Mark your calendars as tickets go on sale Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. local time.
The band members are thrilled about this milestone tour. Decker eagerly expresses, “We are beyond excited to be able to celebrate 25 years of The Height of Callousness. This is the record that defined us as a band and changed our lives.”
Santos echoes the excitement, saying, “We are extremely excited to celebrate the return of Spineshank for the 25th anniversary of *The Height of Callousness* tour, and get to share this milestone with the people who were there back then, and the new fans that never got the chance to see us play. Truly an honor!!!”
Similarly, Garcia shares his anticipation, stating, “It’s amazing that 25 years later people still react to *The Height of Callousness* the way they do. We’re excited to get out and play these songs again, see old friends, and throw down for all the new fans who never got to see Spineshank the first time around!”

There’s more good news for Spineshank fans: the band will be releasing new music this spring—marking their first fresh tracks since 2012’s “Anger, Denial, Acceptance”.
Originally formed in 1996 in Los Angeles, Spineshank quickly rose to prominence in the metal scene with their unique blend of industrial, alternative, and nu-metal influences. Known for energetic performances and emotionally charged music, they have left a lasting legacy with their distinctive sound. Their 2000 album “The Height of Callousness”, produced by Garth Richardson, was a pivotal release that garnered them critical acclaim and led to performances alongside bands like Slipknot and Linkin Park.
In 2003, they released “Self-Destructive Pattern”, featuring the Grammy-nominated single “Smothered”. Despite internal tensions that led to Santos’s departure in 2004, Spineshank reunited in 2008 and put out their last album “Anger, Denial, Acceptance” in 2012.
After starting a new project called The Less Dead in 2023, Santos and Decker fueled speculation on Spineshank’s return, culminating in their reunion and appearance at Louder Than Life in 2025.
