The legendary goth rock figure WEDNESDAY 13 has made a haunting return with the release of his latest single, “In Misery.” Accompanied by a ghoulish music video set in a graveyard, this track is a glimpse into his upcoming 10th studio album, “Mid Death Crisis”, which will be available on April 25 via Napalm Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made HERE.

Currently touring North America on his “There’s No Such Thing As Monsters” headline tour—celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Transylvania 90210″—WEDNESDAY 13 brings his electrifying presence back to the stage. Following the success of the catchy single “When The Devil Commands,” “In Misery” further showcases a blend of goth-punk and sleaze metal, incorporating a heavy dose of infectious hooks.

WEDNESDAY 13 elaborates on the inspiration behind “In Misery”: “There are too many love songs out there about people confessing their love to one another. I wanted to do the exact opposite, and confess the misery of being in a bad relationship. Hopelessly, madly in misery with someone. I see it every day, people miserable together. I see it almost as much as I see people happily together. Some people enjoy misery, and this song is about enjoying that misery as much as someone in love.”

After the successful release of his acclaimed album “Horrifier” (#8 US Top New Artist Albums) in 2022 and a string of notable tours—including reunions with Murderdolls—the Duke of Spook is back with “Mid Death Crisis”. He describes the album as a fun, campy experience that invites listeners to “leave-your-brain-at-the-door,” marking a return to his hard-rocking roots. Produced by guitarist Alex Kane and mixed by Steve Evetts, the album radiates the infectious energy of ’80s sleaze metal.

The album begins with the eerie track “There’s No Such Thing As Monsters,” leading into the industrial-influenced “Decease and Desist.” WEDNESDAY 13’s signature crooning takes center stage as he delivers a high-energy horror anthem. Tracks like “Rotting Away” and “Blood Storm” exude metallic goth-punk vibes that will energize any crowd. Notably, “No Apologies” features guest vocals from Faster Pussycat’s Taime Downe and reveals a fast-paced dialogue about overcoming toxic relationships. The mini-murder ballad “Decapitation” surprises with a theatrical bridge reminiscent of sinister ’60s sock hops. Other tracks, including “In Misery,” “Xanaxtasy,” and “Sick and Violent,” delve into various metal genres and promise gripping heaviness while the downtempo tracks “I Hurt You” and “My Funeral” allow for introspection.

Despite its title, “Mid Death Crisis”, showcases the Duke of Spook’s unwavering momentum in this dynamic and powerful addition to WEDNESDAY 13’s legacy.
