YELLOWCARD ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM: BETTER DAYS, PRODUCED BY TRAVIS BARKER
Yellowcard fans, the wait is finally over! The beloved alternative rock band has unveiled their highly anticipated new album, “Better Days,” set to release on October 10, 2025, through Better Noise Music. Pre-orders are available now!
In celebration of this exciting announcement, Yellowcard has dropped their lead single and title track, “Better Days,” along with another album track titled “honestly i.” You can listen to both tracks and check out the music video for “Better Days” now.
This forthcoming album marks Yellowcard’s first full-length studio release in nearly a decade. “Better Days” has been produced and executive produced by none other than Travis Barker, who also plays drums on every track.
The lead single, “Better Days,” serves as a powerful reflection on themes of gratitude, forgiveness, perspective, and purpose. Known for their energetic pop-punk sound complemented by violin, the band’s lineup—William Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, and Josh Portman—returns stronger than ever. The music video, directed by Jordan Phoenix, showcases the band as 80s movie characters in a nostalgic vintage video shop, illustrating the fun and creative energy behind their reunion. Ryan Key shares, “We are focused on this chapter of our career being about happiness. This is the most fun we’ve had making a video in 20 years and we hope everyone has a smile on their face when they watch it.”
Yellowcard took their time crafting “Better Days,” determined to make it the best album of their careers. They invited Nick Long into the writing sessions, which led to Travis Barker’s involvement in drumming and producing the project. “I started the record as one version of myself and came out the other side changed,” reflects Ryan Key. “I went in knowing I needed help. I came out of it writing songs like I was 19 again.”
Formed in Jacksonville, FL, in 1997, Yellowcard rose to prominence in the 2000s alt-rock scene, with their 2003 album “Ocean Avenue” achieving Platinum status. Known for their unique blend of pop-punk with a violin twist, the band has sold over 4 million albums worldwide and amassed over 1 billion streams. After disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022, embarking on a new creative journey marked by a global tour.

About Yellowcard:
Yellowcard’s farewell was heartfelt and sincere, culminating in a farewell tour that honored their legacy. However, the story didn’t end there. A revitalizing reunion, including their global “Ocean Avenue” 20th anniversary tour, allowed the band members to reconcile and create “Better Days”, their most ambitious record yet.
“It’s a testimony that healing is a process, growth is nonlinear, and sometimes the best chapter opens after the supposed ending,” they say about this new album. This isn’t just a return; it’s a reckoning, and this time, Yellowcard is ready to embrace it.
