BLESSTHEFALL SHARE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “DRAG ME UNDER” — WATCH
BAND TOURING THIS AUGUST + SEPTEMBER
Blessthefall are back — again — and what a welcome return it is.
In the spring of 2023, the Arizona-based band—comprised of Beau Bokan (vocals), Eric Lambert (guitar), Jared Warth (bass), and Elliott Gruenberg (guitar)—unveiled “Wake the Dead,” their first new release in five years. The track has already amassed an impressive 10 million streams. You can check out the music video here.
Today, the group has released the music video for their latest single, “Drag Me Under,” which features Lochie Keogh from Alpha Wolf. And let me tell you, it’s a powerful track. Co-written by Tony Cappocchi of Dragged Under, the song was expertly produced and mixed by Hiram Hernandez.
“The first time I heard the instrumental for ‘Drag Me Under,’ my mind was absolutely blown away,” says Bokan. “This song punishes you relentlessly then lets you breathe for about four seconds then continues to punish. I knew we needed a top tier feature to really make this song stand out so we recruited Lochie Keogh from Alpha Wolf. It’s pretty obvious this song is totally different than anything we’re ever done but still sounds like Blessthefall.”
Blessthefall is gearing up for a headlining tour that will kick off on August 28 in Berkeley, California, and run through September 28 in Davenport, Iowa. You can find all the tour dates below and grab your tickets here.
The band has made a significant impact on the music scene, achieving back-to-back Top 25 debuts on the Billboard 200 with their albums “Hollow Bodies” (2013) and “To Those Left Behind” (2015). Their 2018 release, “Hard Feelings”, continued this trend, earning a spot in the Top 5 of the Top Alternative Albums Chart. Critics have taken notice, with Unclear stating that the band “may have struck serious gold” and Alternative Press praising their skillful fusion of classic influences with a contemporary sound.
Blessthefall’s legacy is underscored by their impressive streaming numbers, with “Hey Baby, Here’s That Song You Wanted” amassing 33.8 million streams on Spotify and “Hollow Bodies” following closely with 26.2 million. They’ve also secured placements in popular franchises like “Splinter Cell”. After a successful 10-year anniversary tour for “Witness” in 2019, the band took a two-year hiatus. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic and other commitments, the members maintained open communication. Now, as they emerge from this five-year break, they are back just in time to make their mark once more.
