Check out the latest from Austrian power metal band Dragony: their new music video for “The Einherjar (What Dreams May Come)” has just been released. This track, which brings a fresh folk dimension to their sound, is part of their album “Hic Svnt Dracones”, now available on Steamhammer/SPV.
Lead singer Siegfried Samer shared, “We picked ‘The Einherjar’ for the final video single from our album Hic Svnt Dracones, as its folk elements add a new dimension to the Dragony sound, and the epic chorus and middle part make a bold atmospheric statement. As a special highlight, Björn Malmros from Ye Banished Privateers added some accordion parts to the song.”
Dragony has already been making waves on the 2025 tour circuit, having performed at the “Ghostlands & Ravenlands” festival in Athens, Greece. They are set to join Serious Black for a European tour starting March 18.

Formed in 2007 out of Vienna’s power metal fan base, Dragony has evolved from a studio project called The Dragonslayer Project into a worldwide metal sensation. After a successful headlining tour in Mexico in 2023 and supporting Warkings on tour, they embraced a lineup change in 2024, bringing Matt on guitars and Chris on drums. Signing with Steamhammer/SPV marks a new era for the band as they blend fresh talent with renowned support.
