The Connecticut hardcore veterans will return November 6 with their first studio album in six years, while a full slate of late-summer and fall tour dates continues.
Hatebreed have announced their ninth studio album, Fatal Paradox, set for release November 6, 2026 through BLKIIBLK Records.
The record will mark the Connecticut band’s first full-length studio release since 2020’s Weight of the False Self and arrives as Hatebreed continue a busy stretch of touring across North America.
Alongside the album announcement, the band released “Kill Count Increase,” the first song from Fatal Paradox, accompanied by an official video.
Frontman Jamey Jasta described the track as a direct introduction to the record and a clear representation of Hatebreed’s established approach.
“‘Kill Count Increase’ is the lead track on Fatal Paradox and a perfect way of summing up our first album in six years from the start,” Jasta said. “It’s straightforward, in-your-face Hatebreed. Fast. Hard. It gets down to business and comes up for air two-and-a-half minutes later. The room and everyone in it gets wrecked and comes back wanting more.”
Longtime collaborator Zeuss worked with Hatebreed on the new material. The producer has previously worked with artists including Rob Zombie, Accept and Shadows Fall.
The album announcement indicates that Fatal Paradox will continue blending the metallic hardcore, punk and thrash influences that have shaped Hatebreed’s catalog for decades. “Kill Count Increase” opens the record, while other songs including “Total Invincible,” “The Carrion Choir” and “Truth Is A Lion” are also highlighted among its heavier cuts.
The 11-track album also includes a guest appearance from Obituary vocalist John Tardy on “Sacrifice Season.”
For Hatebreed, Fatal Paradox extends a studio career that reaches back to the band’s formative releases Under The Knifein 1996 and Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire in 1997. The group followed with albums including Perseverance in 2002, The Rise of Brutality in 2003 and Supremacy in 2006, helping establish a sound that bridged hardcore aggression with metal’s heavier rhythmic and guitar-driven elements.
More recent albums have included The Concrete Confessional in 2016 and Weight of the False Self in 2020.
The new record also begins Hatebreed’s album relationship with BLKIIBLK Records, the metal and hard rock imprint under Frontiers Label Group.
The band remains active on the road while preparing for the November release. Several July performances have already taken place, while the next stretch begins August 19 at the Gathering of the Juggalos in Mack’s Creek, Missouri.
From there, Hatebreed are scheduled to continue through the western United States and Canada before moving through the Midwest and East Coast in September.
Notable upcoming dates include a September 4 appearance at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota supporting Slayer, a September 19 date at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park, Florida supporting Turnstile, and an October 10 appearance at Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama.
The current Hatebreed lineup consists of Jamey Jasta on vocals, Wayne Lozinak and Frank Novinec on guitars, Carl Schwartz on bass and Matt Byrne on drums.
With Fatal Paradox arriving six years after the band’s previous studio record, the album represents Hatebreed’s first major recorded statement of the current decade beyond Weight of the False Self, while “Kill Count Increase” provides the first indication of where the group is taking that sound next.
