In This Moment New single offers another preview of the band’s upcoming ninth studio album as a nationwide co-headlining tour with Hollywood Undead takes shape.
In This Moment have unveiled their latest single, “Sleeping With The Enemy,” while simultaneously revealing plans for a major North American tour this fall. The release marks another step toward the band’s forthcoming ninth studio album and their first full album cycle with Better Noise Music.
The new track follows the previously released “Heretic,” featuring Kim Dracula, giving fans a second glimpse into the next chapter of the band’s evolving sound. While the album’s title and release date have yet to be announced, “Sleeping With The Enemy” serves as one of the earliest introductions to the project.
Frontwoman Maria Brink described the song as part of a broader exploration of confronting adversity and turning difficult experiences into strength.
“With ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness — whether it’s inside us or external,” Brink explained. “It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”
The release arrives as In This Moment continue to build on a career that has established them as one of modern hard rock and metal’s most recognizable acts. Since forming in 2005, the band has developed a devoted fan base through a combination of theatrical live performances, heavy instrumentation, and emotionally driven songwriting.
Led by Brink and co-founder Chris Howorth, the current lineup also includes Travis Johnson, Randy Weitzel, and Kent Diimmel. Over the years, the group has amassed more than two billion global streams, earned multiple gold and platinum certifications, and landed several successful releases on the Billboard charts.
Their catalog includes notable albums such as Blood, Black Widow, Ritual, Mother, and 2023’s Godmode. The latter featured songs including “The Purge,” a cover of “Army Of Me,” and collaborations with artists such as Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.
In addition to the new single, In This Moment have announced their participation in this year’s Taste of Chaos Tour. The tour launches September 22 in Charlotte, North Carolina and features co-headliners Hollywood Undead. Support throughout the run will come from I See Stars, Vana, and Melrose Avenue.
The routing spans much of the United States, making stops throughout the East Coast, Midwest, Southwest, and West Coast before concluding in Anaheim, California on October 26.
