Montreal’s high-energy punk band, The Lookout, is back with a fiery new single, “Hot Date,” off their debut full-length album I Know The Future, set to drop this fall. Known for their bold, femme-forward presence and a sound reminiscent of punk legends like The Distillers and Juliette & The Licks, The Lookout is turning heads with their latest track.

Recorded by Ryan Battistuzzi, a producer behind bands like Malajube, Les Shirley, and NOBRO, “Hot Date” is packed with raw energy. Frontwoman Martha Rodriguez, whose intense and rebellious vocals drive the song, delivers lyrics that will get your heart racing. With a punk sound that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go, this single teases an album full of attitude and electric energy.
The Lookout has been making waves in Quebec’s punk scene for years. After releasing three independent EPs and gaining a reputation for their electric performances, they’ve landed spots at major festivals like ’77 Montreal, Osheaga, and Pouzza Fest. Their live shows are known for their intensity and fun atmosphere, leaving no doubt that this band knows how to command a stage.
Joining Rodriguez in The Lookout are Simon Sarrasin on bass and vocals, François Chartrand on guitar, and Nicolas Poissant on drums. Together, they’ve built a sound that’s fierce and unforgettable, making them one of the most exciting acts in the scene today.
