Legendary metalcore band Poison The Well is marking the 25th anniversary of their iconic album “The Opposite of December… A Season of Separation” with an exciting tour. Originally released in December 1999, this groundbreaking album has set the standard for the genre, influencing countless bands. It’s no surprise that the album is frequently cited among the best, appearing on lists such as “15 ’90s Metalcore Albums That Still Resonate Today” by Brooklyn Vegan, “21 Best U.S. Metalcore Albums of All Time” by Kerrang!, “25 Best Metalcore Albums of All Time” by Loudwire, and “Top 60 Best Hard Rock Albums of All Time” by Revolver.
Celebrating this milestone, Poison The Well will perform the entire album each night during their upcoming tour. Joining them will be support acts Glassjaw, Better Lovers, and Teenage Wrist. The tour kicked off on April 4 in Los Angeles and will wrap up on April 29 in Toronto.
Frontman Jeff Moreira reflects, “For me, “The Opposite of December…” represents everything I absorbed as a teenager: the shows, the music, the raw energy of hardcore and punk. I never imagined that record would still resonate 25 years later. Seeing people continue to connect with it inspires me every day, and I’m so grateful for the opportunities this band has given me.”
