The transcontinental trio’s debut Solid State Records album arrives October 16 before SAVE US join Saosin for an extensive North American run.

SAVE US have shared “Cry,” the latest preview of their upcoming album Death To Something, which is scheduled for release October 16 through Solid State Records.

The transcontinental trio — vocalist Miguel Owls, guitarist Chris Biddiscombe and drummer Benji Havercroft — recorded the album with producer Landon Tewers, vocalist and creative force behind The Plot In You. “Cry” arrives with an accompanying visualizer and shows a more pop-oriented side of a band whose development has largely taken place across thousands of miles.

According to Owls, the song dates back nearly two years and remained part of the project even as SAVE US continued developing their sound.

“‘Cry’ is a song I’m so glad made it onto the album,” Owls said. “We sat on this one for almost two years, and it was one of the first tracks where we really leaned into a more pop-driven sound. There’s something special about this one — it stuck with us the whole time and we never let it go.”

Death To Something will feature 12 tracks, including “Cry,” “Chains,” “Mente Fragmentada,” “Seraphim,” “Runaway,” “Bruised” and the title track.

The album also represents another step forward for a project that initially developed almost entirely online.

Owls, based in California’s Central Valley, began posting cover songs on social media in 2023. Biddiscombe, who is based in Bristol, England, discovered one of Owls’ Architects covers and contacted him through TikTok. The connection eventually developed into a long-distance writing partnership involving Havercroft as well.

With more than 5,000 miles separating the musicians, SAVE US began creating and recording material remotely before the members had even met face-to-face. At the time, Owls was working an afternoon and evening factory shift and would wake around 5 a.m. to collaborate with Biddiscombe and Havercroft before heading to work.

The trio eventually met in person when Owls traveled to the United Kingdom to film the visual for “Distance,” a song from SAVE US’ LUCID EP. According to information provided by the band, “Distance” has since surpassed 2.6 million streams on Spotify.

SAVE US followed LUCID with the EXIST EP in 2024 before signing with Solid State Records in 2025. The band then traveled to Michigan to work with Tewers on what would become Death To Something.

The group’s name itself reflects how the project emerged during a period when all three members were considering stepping away from music.

“Chris and Benji were both ready to stop doing music,” Owls said. “I was in the same boat. We were all on the edge of letting our dreams go. Out of nowhere, we found each other, went all the way in together, and the band genuinely saved us.”

He added, “We’re always dabbling in emotion, so our goal is to reach you on a human level.”

That personal foundation has remained central to SAVE US as the project has grown from remote collaborations into a signed band preparing for both a full-length release and an extensive tour.

Less than two weeks after Death To Something arrives, SAVE US will head out with Saosin for a North American run beginning October 23 at House of Blues Anaheim in California.

The tour stretches into late November with stops in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Colorado, Washington and several other markets before concluding November 28 at SOMA in San Diego.
