Alongside these heavyweights, Psycroptic and Embryonic Autopsy will also bring the noise, making this a must-see event for metal fans across the U.S.
For SIX FEET UNDER, this tour marks their long-awaited return to U.S. stages after more than a decade. Vocalist Chris Barnes couldn’t be more pumped, sharing, “I’m super excited and very much looking forward to our upcoming co-headlining tour with our old friends, Nile! It’s gonna be a motherfucking ripper!”
SIX FEET UNDER is touring in support of their latest album, Killing For Revenge, released earlier this year via Metal Blade Records. The album is a ferocious entry into their discography, delivering gut-wrenching vocals and nightmare-inducing imagery, with Chris Barnes’ gutturals as powerful as ever. The album art, designed by Vince Locke, perfectly captures the album’s intense brutality.
The band, formed as a side project during Barnes’ final years with Cannibal Corpse, has since become his main focus. Despite lineup changes over the years, SIX FEET UNDER continues to deliver relentless death metal, with the current lineup featuring Barnes, guitarists Jack Owen and Ray Suhy, bassist Jeff Hughell, and drummer Marco Pitruzzella.
Killing For Revenge is the second album created by Barnes and Owen since reuniting, and it shows their chemistry is as strong as ever. Critics agree that the band is back in peak form, with Blabbermouth praising their “lethal and harmonious” sound, while Slam Magazine highlights their “heaviness, brutal riffing, and massive build-up of pressure.”
