WHITECHAPEL has just released their latest single, “A Visceral Retch,” a track that embodies a dark and intense narrative about gluttonous overlords pushing humans to their limits to survive and become part of their cult. Described as relentless, ominous, and brutal, the song is a perfect addition to any extreme metal playlist.
Lead vocalist of WHITECHAPEL, Phil Bozeman, shared insights about the inspiration behind the song, stating, “‘A Visceral Retch’ is a song that fans of The Somatic Defilement will immediately connect with. It was one of the first tracks we worked on, and credit goes to Zach Householder for bringing it to our attention. The song delves into a disturbing scenario where individuals are forced to make gruesome choices for survival, pitting loved ones against each other in a test of true evil.”
Excitingly, WHITECHAPEL is gearing up to hit the road as direct support for Lorna Shore on their highly anticipated North American headlining tour, starting from September 19th in Montreal, Quebec, and concluding on October 30th in Wallingford, Connecticut. The tour will include major festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock, with Kublai Khan TX and Sanguisugabogg joining as additional support.
Following their North American run, WHITECHAPEL will join Thy Art Is Murder for a series of shows across Latin America in November. To wrap up the year, the band will headline the Tennessee Takeover 2024 with three special shows in Chattanooga, Nashville, and Knoxville in late December, featuring support from Sanguisugabogg, Gates To Hell, and Peeling Flesh.
