On August 28th, 2024, Slovenian metal band Within Destruction took a huge step forward in their career by signing with the well-known independent label, Sumerian Records. To mark this big moment, the band released a fierce new single called “Demon Child,” along with a high-energy music video filmed in Tokyo, Japan. Lead vocalist Rok Rupnik shared the story behind the song, saying, “When I first listened to the track, the words ‘Demon Child’ instantly came to mind, and I knew they had to be in the chorus. The song ended up exploring a love-hate relationship, where chaos is preferred over a boring life.”
Guitarist Howard Fang and drummer Luka Vezzosi added, “We had a blast during the song’s preproduction. What you hear is almost exactly what we first envisioned. We aimed for a fast-paced track with a catchy chorus and a heavy breakdown that we threw in at the last minute, and we think it works perfectly”

Within Destruction is a metal band from Slovenia that’s been shaking up the scene since 2010. Known for their intense sound and unique blend of electronic elements and anime samples, they’ve built a global fanbase. Their 2016 album VOID put them on the map, and they’ve continued to push the limits with each release. Their third album, DEATHWISH, mixed by Will Putney, featured hits like “Human Defect” and led to their first European headline tour and a breakthrough in the U.S.
