The Nashville nu metal and alternative metal band teams with Stema for an increasingly aggressive track that offers an early indication of its direction heading into 2027.
Nashville heavy outfit bødyWash have released “baTTle,” a new single featuring Stema that finds the band pushing further into the aggressive side of its nu metal and alternative metal sound.
The track follows the band’s surprise performance at Holy Smoke and arrives with an accompanying music video. According to vocalist Jacob “Mogli” Horenburg, both the song and its visual component represent another stage in the direction bødyWash intends to develop moving toward 2027.
“Coming off our surprise performance at Holy Smoke, we’re pushing bødyWash into an even more aggressive place,” Horenburg said. “We linked with Stema on our new track and brought a new layer of chaos and energy to this record, and the visual carries that same intensity. This release feels like another step toward what we’re building for 2027.”
That forward-looking approach places “baTTle” within a larger period of development for the Nashville quartet rather than positioning the track as an isolated release.
bødyWash consists of Horenburg on vocals, David Abbott on drums, Nick Conroy on guitar and Luke Shoemaker on bass. The band’s music draws from nu metal and alternative metal while emphasizing a combination of heaviness, melody and atmosphere.
