Philip Näslund comments on the experience: “It was so much fun writing and recording this song with the band. We were able to capture some crushing riffs and grooves on this one. Jon Howard did a phenomenal job channeling a more extreme vocal style, easily able to match the aggression of the track. This is one of those songs that developed from a heavy guitar riff, with everyone bringing their best to the table. I had a blast figuring out and trading guitar leads with Benjamin Lechuga, who recorded a face-melting, yet playful solo. We’re so pumped for this song to see the light of day!”
Founded in 2015, Combustion 96 crafts an intense blend of hard rock and metal, drawing from an impressively diverse array of influences. Initially a one-man project, their 2016 debut EP, “First Wave”, saw contributions from renowned vocalists such as Tommy Vext (The Lone Wolf, Bad Wolves), Frankie Palmeri (Emmure), and Corey Bennett (Bermuda), cementing the band’s reputation and ongoing streaming success.
In the fall of 2023, Combustion 96 transitioned from a studio project to live performances, marking a successful tour throughout 2024 where they showcased new material to growing audiences.
Their debut music video, “On the Line,” premiered on March 15, 2024 at Revolver.
Released on November 18, 2024, the single “Lost in the Dark” was streamed exclusively by Metal Injection, earning the band its first European radio airplay.

Combustion 96 plans to sustain their momentum with ongoing tours, new music releases, collaborations with established artists, and further exploration of their distinctive sonic and visual style.
