The metalcore Fit For A King latest track arrives after Lonely God and before a packed touring schedule through 2026 and 2027.
Fit For A King have returned with a new standalone single, “Blood Pact,” continuing the momentum from their eighth full-length album, Lonely God, which was released last summer through Solid State Records.
The track arrives ahead of the band’s summer tour with Motionless In White, which begins July 14 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and runs through August 15 in Sterling Heights, Michigan. The run will bring Fit For A King to major amphitheaters across the U.S., including The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston.
“Blood Pact” finds the Texas metalcore outfit leaning into the heavier, more confrontational side of its sound. The song’s lyrical focus centers on the consequences of decisions made by people in positions of authority and the broader impact those decisions can have on society.
“‘Blood Pact’ is a song that, unfortunately, has become more relevant as time goes on,” vocalist Ryan Kirby said. “It’s about how the decisions of people in power affect the rest of us. And how as a human race, we face the reality of destruction, even when it’s not the majority making the decision.”
The release gives fans new material outside of the Lonely God album cycle while reinforcing themes Fit For A King have explored throughout their career: conflict, survival, personal struggle, and the weight of a chaotic world. The band has long balanced metalcore aggression with melodic hooks, deathcore influence, and electronic textures, allowing their sound to shift without losing its foundation.
Fit For A King’s current lineup features Ryan Kirby on vocals, Bobby Lynge and Daniel Gailey on guitars, Trey Celaya on drums, and Ryan “Tuck” O’Leary on bass and vocals.
Since releasing their independent debut Descendants in 2011, Fit For A King have steadily built a career rooted in consistency, touring, and a strong connection with the modern metalcore audience. Their catalog includes Creation/Destruction, Slave to Nothing, Deathgrip, The Path, The Hell We Create, and Lonely God. According to the source announcement, The Hell We Create marked the band’s fifth Top 3 debut on the Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart and their third consecutive Top 15 debut on the Top Album Sales Chart.
The band has also accumulated nearly half a billion streams, with fan favorites including “When Everything Means Nothing,” “The Price of Agony,” and “Breaking the Mirror.” Over the years, Fit For A King have collaborated with artists connected to August Burns Red, The Plot In You, The Ghost Inside, and We Came As Romans, while continuing to remain active on the touring circuit.
After the Motionless In White tour, Fit For A King are expected to stay on the road into 2027. The band has a Latin America headline run planned for October, followed by Australian dates with Beartooth in January.
