Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler begins a new chapter for GHØSTKID with an upcoming Century Media Records release, a new lineup, and a European/UK headline tour.
GHØSTKID has officially revealed its third studio album, FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT, marking the beginning of a new era for Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler’s solo project. Scheduled for release on October 2 through Century Media Records, the album arrives alongside the debut of its lead single, “IVORY,” which offers listeners an early look at the record’s direction.
The announcement follows weeks of online teasers and comes after the previously revealed FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT European and UK Tour 2026, giving fans a clearer picture of the project’s next chapter. The accompanying music video for “IVORY” has also been released.
According to the information shared with the announcement, FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT explores themes centered on the darker corners of the human mind. The album draws inspiration from Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as well as the video game American McGee’s Alice, using the idea of following the white rabbit as a metaphor for confronting fear, uncertainty, and personal struggles.
The record represents a significant turning point for Biesler. Following several years of touring, festival appearances, and the continued growth of GHØSTKID, he described reaching a personal and creative crossroads in 2026 after parting ways with his previous bandmates. That transition led to assembling a new team while continuing to develop the project’s blend of metalcore, nu-metal, and alternative rock.
Reflecting on the challenges behind the new material, Biesler said:
“Retrospectively, it was a very hard time, mentally. But I’m happy to speak openly about it. It was a time with feelings in between completely burning out and ‘everything is incredible’.”
He also addressed the experiences that shaped the upcoming record.
“I’ve learned a lot, made just as many mistakes, and truly underestimated what it means to stand on your own feet.”
Discussing the album’s central concept, Biesler explained:
“Once you’re going down the rabbit hole, you’ll face many scary, weird, and disturbing things that will make you question your sanity. That’s what this album is all about.”

Rather than presenting a fictional narrative alone, the upcoming release is described as a collection of songs rooted in real moments from Biesler’s life. The project explores themes including mental health, burnout, financial pressure, leadership responsibilities, and personal reflection, all of which influenced the writing process during the years leading up to the album.
Production once again comes from longtime collaborator Sky van Hoff, continuing a creative partnership that has helped define GHØSTKID’s evolving sound since the project’s debut. While Biesler remains the only officially announced member, additional band lineup details are expected at a later date.
Since launching GHØSTKID in 2020, Biesler has established the project through headline performances, festival appearances including Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, and tours alongside artists such as Bad Omens, Black Veil Brides, and Blind Channel. FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT now serves as the next major release in that progression while introducing a refreshed lineup and creative direction.
With “IVORY” now available and the album arriving in October, GHØSTKID is preparing to take the new material on the road throughout Europe and the United Kingdom later this year.
