Neurot Recordings kicks off 2025 with a bang, introducing the highly anticipated debut album from the post-metal/sludge sensation, GUILTLESS. Known for its powerhouse lineup featuring members from renowned bands like A Storm Of Light, Intronaut, Generation Of Vipers, and Battle Of Mice, this West Coast ensemble released their full-length record, Teeth To Sky, on March 7th.
Drawing inspiration from experimental rock, noise rock, early industrial, sludge metal, and doom, GUILTLESS combines the talents of drummer Billy Graves, guitarist Dan Hawkins, bassist Sacha Dunable, and guitarist/vocalist Josh Graham. Their music delves into the profound mix of hope, despair, and determination, reflecting on the complexities of modern life.
Following the success of their debut EP, Thorns, which set a gloomy tone for an uncertain future in early 2024, GUILTLESS pushes the envelope further with Teeth To Sky. This album promises to be a more crushing, introspective, and focused journey than its predecessor.
Josh Graham shares his thoughts on the new release, stating, “The EP had a pretty narrow focus starting from my ideas. With this record, my main goal was to really collaborate with Sacha, Dan, and Billy because those guys are great songwriters. The new album is meant to open up the sonic palette and explore more territory.” The album explores the fleeting nature of life and humanity’s impact on Earth, woven into its vibrant yet chaotic soundscape.
Teeth To Sky was meticulously crafted, with remote recordings by the GUILTLESS members and drums laid down by Travis Kammeyer at Fahrenheit Studios in Tennessee. The album was mixed by Kurt Ballou at God City in Massachusetts and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege in Oregon. Visuals and artwork come courtesy of Josh Graham.

GUILTLESS is also set to make their live debut in support of the album. They will grace the stage at Prepare The Ground in Toronto from May 30th to June 1st, performing alongside acts such as Baroness, Big | Brave, Coliseum, Khanate, Kylesa, Yob, and others, including Neurot labelmates Harvestman, Steve Von Till, and Kowloon Walled City.
