The Hamburg band’s latest single follows SOMA and arrives ahead of October U.S. dates supporting thrown, plus a Furnace Fest appearance.

Half Me have returned with “Built On Your Blood,” a new single that finds the Hamburg, Germany metalcore band leaning into some of its heaviest and most confrontational material yet.
The track follows the band’s debut album, SOMA, and comes after Half Me received a Heavy Music Awards nomination. For a group already gaining traction within modern heavy music, “Built On Your Blood” serves as another step forward, sharpening the band’s mix of metalcore, hardcore weight, and dark atmosphere into something built around tension, aggression, and social critique.
Lyrically, “Built On Your Blood” takes aim at systems of conformity and exploitation, focusing on the cost of obedience and the way people can become trapped inside structures that benefit from sacrifice. The song’s central message is captured in the line, “This world is built on your own blood,” a blunt statement that frames the track around survival, responsibility, and resistance.
Musically, Half Me match that subject matter with a dense and punishing sound. The single moves through crushing breakdowns, heavy grooves, and intense vocal delivery, keeping the focus on impact rather than excess. It is written with the kind of physical energy that translates naturally to a live environment, especially for a band preparing to bring the song to U.S. stages later this year.
Half Me have been building momentum beyond Germany, with the source material noting millions of digital streams, European touring and festival appearances, and growing attention around SOMA. “Built On Your Blood” continues that rise by presenting the band in a more aggressive frame while staying connected to the atmosphere and intensity that have helped define its sound.
The band will head to the United States in October for a run of dates supporting thrown. The itinerary includes stops in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Half Me are also scheduled to appear at Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama, on October 11.
For fans following the next wave of European metalcore, “Built On Your Blood” positions Half Me as a band pushing harder into both sonic heaviness and lyrical confrontation.
