Return to Dust Unveils “Sweet Escape” Video as Breakout 2026 Continues With Global Touring

Rising alternative rock band builds on a chart-topping year with a new single, European dates alongside Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle, and a lengthy U.S. run supporting Theory of a Deadman and Sevendust.

Return to Dust has added another chapter to what has already been a milestone year, releasing the music video for its latest single, “Sweet Escape,” while continuing an extensive touring schedule across Europe and North America.

The Los Angeles-based quartet—Matty Bielawski (guitar, vocals), Graham Stanush (bass, vocals), Sebastian Gonzalez (guitar), and London Hudson (drums)—introduced the new song alongside a music video that showcases the band’s signature combination of heavy guitar work and melodic vocal harmonies.

Discussing the meaning behind the track, the band said:

“Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to stop holding on to a losing situation.”

The release follows a string of notable achievements for Return to Dust throughout 2026. Earlier this year, the group’s single “Bored” reached the top of the Active Rock radio chart, while the band also earned the iHeartRadio Music Awards “On The Verge” honor. Those milestones helped further establish the quartet as one of the emerging names in modern rock.

In addition to its original material, Return to Dust revisited a familiar hit with a reimagined version of OutKast’s “Hey Ya!” The cover transformed the Grammy-winning pop classic into a darker, guitar-driven interpretation, with additional synth production provided by Mat Mitchell of Puscifer. The band also released a live performance of the song recorded at Red Rocks, further expanding its growing catalog of live content.

Touring has remained a central focus for the band throughout the year. After completing a headline run and supporting Yungblud during the spring, Return to Dust continued its international schedule with appearances at several major European festivals before joining Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle for a series of European shows.

The band’s itinerary also includes several rescheduled Yungblud performances before returning to the United States for an extensive tour supporting Theory of a Deadman and Sevendust throughout August and September.

Return to Dust’s recent momentum has continued building on the foundation established over the past two years. The group independently released its self-titled debut album in 2024, produced by Jim Kaufman, before signing with Lava Records/Republic Records and releasing the Speak Like The Dead EP in 2025. That release featured “Bored,” the song that would eventually become the band’s first No. 1 Active Rock radio single.

The band has also steadily expanded its live profile through appearances at major rock festivals including Inkcarceration, Welcome To Rockville, and Sonic Temple, while sharing stages with artists such as Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Billy Corgan.

With “Sweet Escape” now available alongside another demanding international touring schedule, Return to Dust continues to build on a year that has seen the band reach new audiences through chart success, festival performances, and an expanding global presence.
