Killswitch Engage emerged from snowy, industrialized Western Massachusetts in 2000, revolutionizing heavy music with their unique blend of thrashed-out European guitar pyrotechnics, East Coast hardcore spirit, and introspective lyricism. Their 2002 release, “Alive Or Just Breathing”, gained recognition as a definitive album, landing on Decibel’s list of “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade.” Accolades include three Grammy nominations for “Best Metal Performance” in 2005, 2014, and 2019, as well as gold and platinum certifications for “The End of Heartache” [2004] and “As Daylight Dies” [2006].
Killswitch Engage has achieved three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with “Killswitch Engage” [2009], “Disarm The Descent” [2013], and a “career high best bow” at #6 with “Incarnate” [2016]. Recent albums have dominated both the Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. Their streaming numbers approach 3 billion, underscoring their status as relentless performers who have sold out countless headline tours. They have shared stages with legendary bands including Iron Maiden, Slipknot, Slayer, My Chemical Romance, Mastodon, and Parkway Drive, showcasing their broad musical appeal.
Celebrating an extraordinary 25-year history, Killswitch Engage remains a leading force and continues as a defining band of the 2000s, marking their ongoing legacy.

Killswitch Engage has unveiled the video for their new track “Collusion”—watch it now! Their latest album, “This Consequence”, is available via Metal Blade Records.
The Grammy-nominated and platinum-selling band—comprised of Jesse Leach on vocals, Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel on guitars, Mike D’Antonio on bass, and Justin Foley on drums—released “This Consequence” on February 21.
Jesse Leach explains, “‘Collusion’ is about the struggle between people in power and the common people. It speaks about the propaganda and divisiveness used to keep us in control. It’s about the ruthlessness of the ruling class who use wealth to raise, manipulate, and destroy empires at their will.” He continues, “I wish for people to use discernment and intellect to read between the lines. My hope is to instill a desire for analyzation and critical thinking amidst the current rigged and corrupt forms of governments the world over.”
