Building on the momentum from their “Deathlust” EP and the “Internal Decomposition” single, LIVING GATE makes a strong statement with “Suffer As One”: old-school death metal that is heavier than ever is here to stay. This album showcases the genre’s power through its uncompromising intensity. The opening track, “To Cut Off The Head Of The Snake,” features riffs that are both robust and sharp, while the relentless blast beats and double-bass drumming create an enveloping soundscape, complemented by guttural vocals that resonate deeply. Each track on the album is packed with significance; the riffs, melodies, and vocal styles shift dramatically, leading to chaotic solos paired with intricate yet forceful rhythm sections.

Looking ahead, LIVING GATE aims to carve out their unique niche within the genre with songs like “Destroy And Consume,” which infuses a hardcore edge into the mix, colliding with swirling riffs and chaotic leads. Additionally, Rieseberg shines in “Massive Depletion In Eb Minor,” a bass interlude that transitions seamlessly into the album’s powerful title track.
