MAUL: “In The Jaws Of Bereavement”, The Second LP From Vicious Fargo-Based Death Metal Faction, Now Streaming In Its Entirety; Album Out Via 20 Buck Spin & US Tour
The highly anticipated second album from Fargo’s death metal band MAUL, titled “In The Jaws Of Bereavement,” is now available for streaming in full, via 20 Buck Spin.
At the heart of MAUL’s music is their dynamic live performance, and the tracks on “In The Jaws Of Bereavement” are crafted to resonate within the charged atmosphere of a packed venue, where fans are engulfed in the raw energy of the moment. The album’s production is sharp and aggressive, allowing the band to showcase their distinctive mix of classic and contemporary styles that epitomize the essence of Midwest death metal. If you enjoy bands like Sanguisugabogg, Phobophilic, Fulci, and others, you’ll likely find MAUL’s sound appealing.
The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Adam Tucker at Signaturetone Recordings in Minneapolis, known for its work with acts such as Ulthar and Obsequiae. The cover art was designed by Wyrmwalk, featuring photography by Kary Janousek of Old School Collodion. Notably, the album features contributions from Hugh Danger on synth and samples, as well as Vincent Bennett of The Acacia Strain, who lends his vocals to the title track.

The album released on October 4th across various formats including LP, CD, cassette, and digital. Available through the 20 Buck Spin webshop and Bandcamp. Additionally, check out the video for “Spontaneous Stigmata.”
To celebrate the album launch, MAUL embarks on a tour with I Am and Life Cycles from October 16th to November 5th, covering much of mainland US. They will also announce a special album release tour for December, where they will perform the new album in its entirety.
