The band PALMAR DE TROYA is making waves with their new EP, “II,” which is now streaming exclusively on Everything Is Noise. This Spanish quintet, known for their socio-political themes and energetic sound, has been officially released on Friday July 5th through Reptilian Records.

Formed in 2019, PALMAR DE TROYA consists of vocalist/keyboardist Lucia, bassist Will, drummer Jose, and guitarists Salinas and Toto. The band members, who come from various musical backgrounds, set out to create a sound that’s both personal and experimental, drawing heavily from ‘90s post-hardcore, punk, and noise rock. Their name is inspired by a small city in southern Spain, known for its mysterious religious sect, adding a layer of intrigue to their music.
Their first EP, released digitally in 2020, received positive reviews across Europe but was hindered by the global pandemic, which halted their plans to release the EP on vinyl and slowed their momentum. However, PALMAR DE TROYA didn’t give up. After performing in cities like Granada, Málaga, and Madrid, they returned to the studio to create “II.” The EP was recorded in Granada’s Borderline Music Studio and Estudio 79, with Rafa Camisón handling mixing and mastering.

Guitarist Toto shares that “II” reflects the band’s resilience and determination. “The energy and anger from everything we’ve experienced in the past few years are poured into this EP. We believed in what we were creating, and despite the setbacks, we pushed forward.”
Everything Is Noise praises the EP’s diverse sound, describing it as “a whirlwind of inspiration” that delivers a high-octane experience perfect for punk fans.
You can listen to PALMAR DE TROYA’s “II” now on Everything Is Noise. The EP was made available on 10” Day-Glo Yellow Vinyl and all digital platforms Friday, July 5th. Orders are open on the Reptilian Records webshop and Bandcamp.
