TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM, GUNSMOKE, ON OCTOBER 4TH

The Texas rock band Texas Hippie Coalition is gearing up to release their latest album, Gunsmoke, through MNRK Heavy on October 4, 2024. This time around, frontman Big Dad Ritch and his crew fully dive into their Southern rock and country roots, blending them with their lifelong love for westerns. This fusion is powerfully evident in their first single and title track, “Gunsmoke.” The song features a rustic acoustic guitar that winds its way through a driving beat, accentuated by waves of gritty distortion, all building to a chant-worthy chorus: “I sell weed and liquor to the city slickers. I can get you there quicker, and like a gun…I smoke.”

Known for their high-energy performances and party-loving attitude, Texas Hippie Coalition (THC) never fails to deliver a good time. Comprised of seasoned rebels and natural-born storytellers, the band—featuring Big Dad Ritch on vocals, Cord Pool on guitar, Nevada Romo on guitar, Rado Romo on bass, and Joey Mandigo on drums—infuses their hard-hitting rock with a heavy dose of country flair and Texas attitude.

Having amassed tens of millions of streams, toured extensively, and captivated countless fans, THC is set to deliver ten fiery tracks on Gunsmoke [MNRK Heavy]. “In terms of the lyrics, the vibe, and where THC comes from, we definitely went home on this album,” Ritch explains. “It embodies the wild west Texas-Oklahoma region, blending red dirt country with storytelling and metal. It’s a return to the roots from which we came.”
