Muncie, Indiana-based emo rock trio Leisure Hour has officially signed with PNWK Records, marking an exciting new chapter in their musical journey. This news follows the release of their latest album, The Sunny Side, which dropped in June 2024.

Formed in the summer of 2019, Leisure Hour has built a reputation for their emotionally charged sound, inspired by the likes of The 1975, Paramore, and The Front Bottoms. Their music, described by the band as “emo rock with a twist of early 2000s power pop and electronic 80s vibes,” has struck a chord with fans far and wide.

In a statement, the band shared their enthusiasm about joining the PNWK family: “We’re beyond thrilled to announce our signing with PNWK Records. Our paths first crossed during Part 1 of The Sunny Side Album Release Tour, and we immediately connected with Sam and Robert, the label’s co-owners. Their passion and dedication to the scene are unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds as we embark on this journey together.”

As part of this exciting new phase, Leisure Hour will soon be hitting the studio to work on new material, which will serve as their debut release under PNWK Records.

But before that, the trio is hitting the road again in September for Part 2 of The Sunny Side Tour, alongside their close friends in Moosecreek Park. The band expressed their excitement about the upcoming shows: “We can’t wait to get back on the road with our best friends and celebrate what has been an incredible year for us. Catch us in a city near you!”

Leisure Hour, comprised of Raegan Gordon on drums, Grace Dudas on vocals and bass, and Isaiah Neal on vocals and guitar, has been praised for their authentic, raw lyrics and dynamic live performances. Their latest album, The Sunny Side, delves into themes of love, loss, and the mental health struggles of the middle class. The band’s DIY ethos shines through, as they juggled extra shifts and organized local music festivals to fund the album’s production.

Despite the challenges, The Sunny Side is a testament to their resilience, featuring tracks that oscillate between hope and heartache. From the haunting “Ivy Tech” to the introspective “Forgiveness,” the album captures the band’s journey of growth and self-discovery.

As Leisure Hour prepares to create new music under the PNWK label, fans can relive the magic of The Sunny Side through their latest music videos for tracks like “Summer,” “Forgiveness,” “Ivy Tech,” and “Calm Down.”
