ENTHEOS

As ENTHEOS took the stage around 7:45 p.m., they launched into an electrifying performance that immediately engaged the audience. Vocalist Chaney captivated the crowd with her powerful screams, setting the tone for a night filled with high-energy music. Despite the sweltering heat, the band gave it their all, and the fans responded in kind, creating an exhilarating atmosphere.
Circle pits began to form as Chaney encouraged the crowd to show their enthusiasm, asking, “Where are my crowd surfers at?” Almost instantly, a wave of exhilarated fans began to surf over the heads of their fellow concertgoers, creating a sea of excitement. It was a moment that could easily be summed up with a humorous nod to a well-known cartoon: “Holy crowdsurfers, Batman!”
With their heavy, shredding tracks, ENTHEOS did not disappoint. Their performance was intense and engaging, leaving a lasting impression on those in attendance. ENTHEOS is an American progressive metal band formed in 2015 in Los Angeles, California. After experiencing their live show for the first time, I can’t wait for their return to Florida.

Chelsea Grin

Just when the excitement of the night seemed to reach its peak, Chelsea Grin, an American deathcore band from Salt Lake City, Utah, took the stage and intensified the atmosphere even further. The venue, already packed with eager fans, became a bustling sea of concertgoers, making it nearly impossible to navigate from the pit to the back without pushing through the throngs of people.
As the band launched into their set, the energy escalated. Circle pits erupted, and crowd surfers continued to soar overhead, creating a vibrant and chaotic scene. Frontman Tom rallied the audience for a moment known as “The Wall.” For those unfamiliar, this involves fans forming two lines facing each other with a gap in between, then charging toward one another for an exhilarating collision that fuels the mosh pit frenzy.
With each song, Chelsea Grin delivered an onslaught of intensity, captivating the crowd with their powerful performance. As the heat became increasingly oppressive, security was active, distributing water and checking on concertgoers, including those of us in the photo pit. It was a reminder of the strong sense of community within the music scene, where looking out for one another is a shared value. The night was not just about the music; it was about camaraderie and the unyielding spirit of metal fans coming together.

As I Lay Dying

The moment we had all been eagerly anticipating finally arrived as headliners As I Lay Dying, an American metalcore band from San Diego, California, took the stage. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as the intro played, and frontman Tim Lambesis, with his commanding presence, unleashed his powerful screams and tore through the first few songs. The band’s stage setup, complete with dynamic lighting, created an electrifying ambiance that signaled it was game on.
Throughout their set, they performed a mix of new hits and fan favorites, keeping the energy high. A highlight of the evening was when Chaney joined them on stage to perform “Redefined.” Her presence added an extra layer of intensity to an already electrifying performance.
The crowd responded with unrelenting enthusiasm, forming nonstop circle and mosh pits while crowd surfers soared above. Despite the oppressive Florida summer heat—a challenge no one could ignore—the sense of camaraderie among the fans was top notch as they looked out for one another.
The band’s sound was impeccable, and the lighting perfectly matched the mood of each song. As someone who has followed As I Lay Dying for nearly two decades, I can confidently say they haven’t lost a beat. Their performance was nothing short of unforgettable, showcasing their evolution while still honoring their roots in the metal scene. It was a night that will be remembered by all who attended.
