“Swallowed by the World” Singe Cover – Cenobia
The Sydney artist brings her cryptic, narrative-driven project to Fearless Records as “Swallowed By the World” introduces the next chapter of her developing story.
Australian artist Cenobia has joined the global roster at Fearless Records and will release her six-track Lethal Devotion EP on September 18.
The signing marks a significant step for the Sydney-based artist, whose project has developed around modern metal, serialized visual storytelling and an intentionally mysterious identity. Cenobia first emerged independently in 2025 with “Devour Me,” later following the track with “Throne of Want” and “Make Us Whole Again.”
Ahead of the EP’s release, Cenobia has also shared “Swallowed By the World,” accompanied by a music video that continues the narrative established through her previous material.
The track serves as the fourth chapter of Cenobia’s ongoing story and combines heavy riffs, atmospheric melodies and breakdown-driven passages while exploring internal conflict, obsession, trauma and personal transformation.
That conceptual approach has been central to Cenobia’s work from the beginning. Inspired heavily by video games, the project incorporates recurring lore, cryptic messages and connected visual chapters alongside the music. Her growing audience has become known as “Her Collective.”
The mystery surrounding Cenobia has also become part of the project’s early identity. According to the announcement from Fearless Records, the artist’s rapid online growth and deliberately concealed presentation led some listeners to question whether Cenobia was a real performer or an artificial intelligence creation. The label’s announcement explicitly identifies Cenobia as a real artist while maintaining much of the anonymity and mythology surrounding the project.
“Swallowed By the World” pushes that fictionalized presentation forward rather than separating the artist from the character.
“Cenobia gifts you her fourth chapter, ‘Swallowed By The World.’ Her end. Her beginning. ‘A divine awakening is upon us. Her eyes are yet to open.’ Devoured whole. A fractured rebirth. She was swallowed by the world, forged in trauma. Her quest to be made whole again draws to an end. Now, her divine awakening is upon us. She is Cenobia. She too will devour the stars.”
The language surrounding the track positions it as another stage in a larger narrative rather than a standalone single. Its themes of being fractured, rebuilding and approaching a transformation also connect directly with the sequencing of the forthcoming Lethal Devotion EP.
Three of Cenobia’s previously introduced songs — “Devour Me,” “Throne Of Want” and “Make Us Whole” — appear at the beginning of the six-song release, followed by “Swallowed By The World.” The EP will conclude with two additional tracks, “Hypoxia” and “Constellation.”
The Fearless Records partnership brings Cenobia into a wider international framework after the project’s independent beginnings. While the artist’s identity remains deliberately obscured, the signing and upcoming EP give the project its clearest release structure to date as its interconnected musical and visual storyline continues.
