Each song on ‘Cursed’ is symbolically linked to a flower, culminating in the “River of Sorrows,” which is associated with the Purple Hyacinth—representing sorrow, regret, and forgiveness. “River of Sorrows” provides a raw exploration of the emotional burdens stemming from a toxic relationship, blending lyrical vulnerability with intense musicality. This song is a testament to the album’s intricate storytelling, marking it as the band’s most ambitious project to date Frontman Marc “Zelli” Zellweger shares, “‘River of Sorrows’ is about the emotional weight of betrayal and the drowning feeling of being trapped in a one-sided connection. It’s heavy in every sense of the word—musically, lyrically, emotionally—and it’s a piece that feels deeply personal while also being universally relatable. We wanted to bring those feelings to life in a way that would truly resonate with listeners.”
The third album, ‘Cursed,’ is a powerful showcase of modern brutality, reflecting two years of creative exploration and personal experiences for the band. Retreating to the serene Canary Islands, they collaborated with Ron Steven Deris at Misueno Studios and longtime ally Florent Salfati (Landmvrks) to create a record that intertwines their signature heavy sound with thoughtful conceptual narratives.
The first single, “Hatred,” was released in September and has already made waves, being featured in Loudwire’s ‘Best Rock & Metal Songs of 2024’ list and nominated for “Angriest Song of the Year” at Nik Nocturnal’s annual awards. The track is a perfect blend of explosive nu-core energy, rapid-fire vocals, thrash-inspired guitar riffs, and the pounding rhythms that have garnered them global acclaim. Following this, the band surprised fans with “My Blood on Your Hands,” also nominated for ‘Best Animal Noise’ at the Nik Nocturnal Awards. Their third single, “Love Burns,” released in early December, received widespread praise for its dynamic songwriting and the band’s bold sonic exploration. Altogether, these singles have accumulated over 3.2 million streams across platforms and nearly 659,000 views on YouTube.

Reflecting on the release of ‘Cursed,’ the band states “Cursed is the piece we’ve always wanted to create. We set out to craft a cohesive concept with our music, videos, and artwork and we’re very proud of the outcome. The process of making this album has been therapeutic in ways we didn’t anticipate, and we’re beyond excited to finally share it with the world. We hope to see you at a show on our upcoming headline tours and have you sing these tracks with us.”
