The Last Mile crafts songs that blend melody with raw emotion, exploring themes of love and conflict while holding onto hope, even in the darkest times. The band’s current lineup recently demonstrated their skills by arranging and recording drums and bass for 11 tracks in just a week at The Posicorebox studio in Brooklyn. The guitars and vocals were recorded in Montreal with the help of Ryan Battistuzzi and feature guest appearances from notable friends, including Greg Laraigne and Lucas Rupnik from Dirty Tricks, Mathieu Forcier of Oktoplut, and Mike Gabriel from Answers, alongside saxophone contributions from Delano Pelletier of Indochine. The album was mixed by Jesse Gander and mastered by Stu Mckillop at Raincity Recorders in Vancouver.
