The October series pairs five horror films with introductions from Spencer Charnas and Ice Nine Kills music videos at roughly 300 AMC locations.
Ice Nine Kills is taking its horror obsession from the stage to the movie theater this October through a new partnership with AMC Theatres and Bloody Disgusting.
“Welcome to Horrorwood,” a five-film installment of AMC’s Thrills & Chills series, begins October 2 at approximately 300 AMC locations across the United States. The monthlong program brings Hostel, Friday the 13th, American Psycho, Pet Sematary and The Crow back to theaters while connecting each film with music inspired by Ice Nine Kills’ horror-centered catalog.
Each screening will begin with a custom introduction from Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas. Following the feature, audiences will see the band’s corresponding music video inspired by the film.
The concept draws directly from the world Ice Nine Kills developed across The Silver Scream and its follow-up, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood. Both albums built songs around horror films and characters, with the band extending those ideas into an interconnected collection of cinematic music videos.
“It’s a bloody honor to present this selection of modern horror classics with the mighty AMC Theatres and our friends at Bloody Disgusting. Metal music and marquee movie mayhem. What more could we ask for this October?” Charnas said.
Rather than running as a conventional film marathon, “Welcome to Horrorwood” will occupy Friday and Tuesday nights throughout October. Screenings begin at 8 p.m. local time, with each movie receiving two dates.
The series opens with Hostel on October 2 and 6, followed by the original 1980 Friday the 13th on October 9 and 13. American Psycho follows October 16 and 20, while the 1989 adaptation of Pet Sematary screens October 23 and 27.
Halloween weekend closes the series with The Crow. The 1994 film will screen Friday, October 30, before returning for a special Halloween presentation on Saturday, October 31.
“Horror has long been a favorite among moviegoers, especially during the Halloween season, and we’re always looking for new ways to give fans more opportunities to enjoy these films on the big screen at AMC,” said Ryan Wood, Senior Vice President and Head Film Buyer at AMC. “These are movies people know and love, and it’s exciting to bring them back to theatres in a unique way.”
For Ice Nine Kills, the AMC collaboration continues the band’s long-running connection between heavy music and horror entertainment. Led by Charnas, the group has expanded its horror-driven universe beyond albums and touring through cinematic music videos, graphic novels, its annual Silver Scream Convention and collaborations with established entertainment franchises.
That crossover has continued throughout 2026, the 20th anniversary year of Ice Nine Kills’ first album. During the summer, the band entered the Dead by Daylight universe with “Play Dead,” while Charnas was announced as a voice actor for Halloween: The Game. Ice Nine Kills also composed an original score for “Terror Tram starring Art the Clown” for Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
The band’s schedule will remain active after Halloween as well. Ice Nine Kills was recently announced among the artists participating in UNWRAPPED: An Acoustic Holiday, a six-date December run featuring acoustic performances from a rotating lineup that also includes Smith & Myers of Shinedown, Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society, The Funeral Portrait, The Warning, Ayron Jones, Sublime and additional artists.
The UNWRAPPED run begins December 1 in St. Augustine, Florida, and continues through December 11 in Baltimore, Maryland. General ticket sales begin September 18 at 10 a.m. local time.
Before that year-end run arrives, “Welcome to Horrorwood” gives Ice Nine Kills another way to connect its music directly with the films that helped shape the band’s creative identity. Rather than simply returning five horror titles to theaters, the series places the movies alongside Charnas’ introductions and Ice Nine Kills’ own visual interpretations of them.
