WITH HELL IN HIS EYES ARRIVES MAY 2 VIA SPINEFARM

BAND SHARES “DREAMERS” VIDEO — WATCH

PARADISE SLAVES, the newly formed band featuring past members of 36 CRAZYFISTS and DIECAST, is set to release its debut album, With Hell In His Eyes, on May 2 through Spinefarm.

Pre-order it HERE.

Singer Brock Lindow expresses, “To me, the overall concept of With Hell In His Eyes is to never surrender, continue to fight, and continue to be grateful for life. Those were my thoughts. I’m a 49-year-old man who has lived and learned a lot. No one is perfect. Coming to this realization, trying to be better each day is a definitely goal.”

In conjunction with the album announcement, the band has released the video for “Dreamers.”

The song transitions from a chugging palm-muted riff to an airy verse with a breathy melody, peaking at a chantable chorus: “I would’ve traded everything, but it kept running from me.”

Lindow shares insight into the song’s personal meaning, saying, “My wife is from South Africa, and we battled immigration for five years. She couldn’t leave the entire time, and her parents had gotten sick. It was really rough. It’s about our situation, the personal struggle, the hardships we dealt with.”

Following the band’s debut single, “A FEVER TO DEFEAT,” you can watch the lyric video and listen HERE.

Formed as the Boston-by-way-of-Anchorage quartet, the band showcases a remarkable synergy with Lindow (36 Crazyfists), solo artist and guitarist Tyler Stroetzel, guitarist Jon Kita (Diecast), bassist Brad Horion (Diecast), and drummer Ryan Manning (Pentagram, Blitzkid).

A foundation of mutual admiration and respect led to the fire that ignited Paradise Slaves. This chemistry infuses their debut album with palpable energy.

During the pandemic, Killswitch Engage guitarist Joel Stroetzel reached out to Lindow, asking him to collaborate with his younger brother Tyler on a solo project, Dark Verses, Vol. 1. The collaboration went well, prompting further writing and recording sessions. Longtime friend Kita naturally joined the lineup, followed by Horion and Manning. Influenced by bands like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains, they embraced hardcore grit and heavy metal eloquence, while performing alongside bands like Killswitch Engage and Fit For An Autopsy. They eventually gathered at Tin Bridge Studios in Massachusetts to record the album.

Lindow reflects, “This band is something I didn’t expect. After it fell in my lap, I was making new music with new people, and we became brothers, and for that, I’m so grateful. When you get a gift like this, you need to put your best foot forward and have some fire. I definitely still have the same fire and love for making music as I always had, and it manifests in Paradise Slaves.”
