Austin metalcore outfit previews its upcoming full-length with a new single and video while preparing for a fall North American tour alongside Catch Your Breath.

Austin, Texas-based heavy music quartet Colorblind has released its latest single, “Chemical Warfare,” offering another look at the band’s forthcoming debut full-length, Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold. The album is scheduled for release on August 28 through Solid State Records.
Accompanied by an official music video, “Chemical Warfare” continues the band’s emotionally driven approach to modern heavy music, pairing aggressive instrumentation with introspective themes.
Speaking about the song’s meaning, vocalist Travis Moseley explained that it explores the struggle between identity and self-perception.
“‘Chemical Warfare’ is about the war between who you are and who you believe you are. When self-perception becomes a weapon, every thought feels like an attack. The song lives in the tension between inherited beliefs and personal truth — the moment you realize the voice tearing you down may not be yours at all.”
The track centers on internal conflict, portraying a mind overwhelmed by relentless self-criticism and emotional fatigue. Rather than focusing on external battles, the song examines the exhausting psychological weight of confronting negative thoughts and the challenge of finding clarity amid that struggle.
Formed in 2017, Colorblind has steadily built momentum within the modern rock and metalcore landscape. The Austin quartet—comprised of Travis Moseley (vocals), Tyler Moseley (drums), Nicholas Asper (bass), and Justin Page (guitar)—has developed a reputation for combining crushing guitar work with atmospheric textures and melodic songwriting.
That approach has helped the band carve out its own identity, earning attention through songs including “Motionless,” “Needle Eye,” and “Letdown,” the latter receiving airplay on SiriusXM Octane. According to the band’s announcement, their catalog has accumulated more than 30 million streams, reflecting the growing audience they’ve developed in recent years.
Colorblind’s earlier independent releases, including their self-titled EP, introduced the emotionally transparent songwriting that continues to define the band’s music. Their material has since led to touring opportunities alongside acts such as blessthefall, Miss May I, and Dayseeker, while also placing the group on major festival stages.
With Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold, Colorblind is preparing to deliver its first full-length release after establishing itself through a series of singles and EPs. The album expands on the foundation laid by previous releases while marking an important milestone in the band’s career.
Following the album’s release, Colorblind will head back on the road this fall as support for Catch Your Breath, bringing the new material to audiences across the United States and Canada.
